    All I have to say is just mimic one of the socio-economic models of the European social democracies. Plenty to choose from. Some more socialist, some more capitalist, some with very interesting concepts of wealth distribution and social security like Norway. Its not black magic. Just have the balls to push for change or you end up in a dystopian reality (well, you are almost already there).

    I couldn't make it past the first minute- Musk does not own 100% of the company. MBS still has ~$2b worth of shares. Also, the board absolutely tried to stop the deal from going through. They announced poison pill strategy after Musk's first offer, but since Musk overpaid they had to follow through with fiduciary responsibility.

    Not to kiss asses of billionaires but some of them like Elon Musk have their wealth because he invested that money into things that gonna make peoples life better not only products but by creating jobs, lowerings demand for product + costs, accesability and I also do not agree with words like they work hard because it's character trait but all self made millionaires, billionaires have it because naturally most intelligent and conscious person gonna reach top of hierarchy and if you think he is doing good work at that you can buy stocks and get as much return as that billionaire gets percentage wise. Also i got reccomended this video for some reason somewhere in rural eastern europe and video has good sound and high video quality and other videos have good ideas continue like that regulary and learn more from youtubers who are sucessful and capitalism will give returns

    This argument is so naive. What is your alternate solution to money and capitalism? Socialism? Communism? how did the socialist and communist countries of the 20th century pan out?

    • @aceyage
      @aceyage Год назад

      Restricting the amount of money the leaders of a company and the company itself can make legally. The money is better spent in the wider community, rather than concentrating it. The goal needs to be to spread wealth out, rather than concentrating it on a few, which is essentially an oligarchy and can lead to all sort of problems for democracy as we can see right now.

    • @jamessullenriot
      @jamessullenriot Год назад

      @@aceyage You are saying the money is better spent in the wider community and spread wealth out. Basically you want to redistribute wealth. Who is going to decide how/where to redistribute it? What if you don't agree with where the money gets redistributed to? You are describing communism/socialism. You should study countries that went down that road before. Its not ancient history, its actually very recent history.

    • @aceyage
      @aceyage Год назад

      @@jamessullenriot Who decides who gets the money? More people than when it is concentrated. What to invest in? Education, health, streets, housing, food-, air-, soil- and energy-security. If you don't agree with what the money is spent on? Though luck, there has been a democratic vote on it. Maybe a different country is more to your liking? There will still be millionaires, it's just about insane wealth going into 100s of millions. No single individual needs that kind of money. We can take good elements of other poltical systems and implement them. As long as democracy is in place, the issues you are describing will not occur. There have been 90% wealth tax in the US before, it will have to come back if it doesn't want to devolve further into an oligarchy, which leads down exactly the same path as communism: fascism.

    OMG I had a similar experience in Brazil in 2015!! I left on day 3 because I just could not sit quietly listening to the recording of the guru being sexist over and over again. I remember on the morning of day 3 I started looking at people's eyes - which they told us not to do because it's also communication - and people looking down quickly to avoid eye contact and that felt so wrong because yes the practice is to help us to connect within us but we were not isolated, that was a community that pretends no one is around which funny enough reminded me of big cities and disconnected people. I went to the guru to tell her I wanted to leave and she literally told me I wasn't allowed and I questioned this and she told me I couldn't leave period. I left the room super angry and went to the hills and saw this tiny tiny ant on my hand and then she opened her butt and another tiny ant flew away from there. Still now I don't know if it's a thing or not but I took it as a sign that I went there to be reborn and I did in my own way. I went back to speak to the guru and I told her I was leaving no matter what and she told me I would never have such a great opportunity to evolve again and to me that was the silliest thing because honestly who's so entitled to tell someone that they will never have the chance to evolve again? lol Until now I can't find many people speaking badly of their experiences and to me there's much more evolution if we question things to change things, otherwise we all would just have to sit down and meditate and nothing else. Anyways! Thanks for sharing your experience xxx

    Lovely video and summary of your experience. Sounds like you've been on a journey! As you say the meditation technique is very much front and centre - it is the sole reason you are there! The centres are organised so as to provide the most suitable and fertile environment possible in which to learn Vipassana. It is non-sectarian, experiential, and very practical in nature. It was a technique understood to have been popularised by Siddhartha Gautama (known as Buddha) around c.5th Century BC, but it does not "belong" to any religion. Therefore people from all backgrounds (religious and non-religious) can - and do - attend courses and practice this technique. In regards to donation... That is really up to the individual! You are never asked to "pay". Individuals may choose to donate some money according to their means - at the end of the course, at some time in the future... Or never! Many "old students" (as those who have sat at least one 10-day course are known as) donate some of their time by volunteering at meditation centres to help run courses or maintain the infrastructure. Everyone on site at a meditation centre (teachers, managers, servers, etc) are old students in the technique who are there voluntarily and receive no financial remuneration for their efforts. Any donations (money, time, etc) are made so that _others_ may also come to the centres and enjoy the benefits of the technique - and not as an exchange for the teaching, food, and accommodation that we have already received. We are so used to "paying" for services and goods in our modern capitalist society that this idea of something being offered for "free" sometimes makes people a little suspicious. When we "pay" for something we often expect certain rewards or results - but a key part of the environment of these Vipassana meditation centres is that we are able to go there and live simply on the kindness and generosity of others. Awareness and equanimity brother :-) uk.dhamma.org/

    I suspect, Mr. Wakabayashi, that your charisma comes from your metta-ish warmth of tone combined with the unusual abundance of your happiness--the latter of which, at least at the time of recording, overflows from your person so extravagantly that you commence each of your vlogs by laughing! Studying treatises on charm may be unnecessary in your case; and I wonder, more generally, whether it might be be an inborn art more than it is a teachable science. But to the extent that speculation on it is practical, thank you for these suggestions.

    • @StevenWakabayashi

      Aw - thank you! Those are very kind words. If I am honest, I haven't always been like this. It has taken me years to be confident, carefree, and happy. (Sometimes, I wish I had gotten here earlier in life... but there's always a reason for everything we go through, right?) Though charisma can't just be learned by reading a book, these tips and other videos I share are in hopes of helping to bring our truest self forward. Whether that truest self is more charismatic or introspective, it allows us to start seeing what is deep inside of us.

    • @Jesse-hu3yw
      @Jesse-hu3yw 5 лет назад

      @@StevenWakabayashi Thank you for your thoughtful reply. Few positions can be more respectable than to seek what is true. How interesting that you regard aspects of your present state as resulting from self-cultivation. Please do consider--if the chance and whim converge!--musing on what has most made a difference for you over the course of that refinement, and whether what you have attained differs from what you thought you would gain. Or do you perhaps post any longer form content anywhere--essays and the like--that address such matters in more detail?
